With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Ms. Evelyn P. "Tricia" Brown of Moncks Corner, SC, who transitioned from this life on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, "Tricia" was a true people person who had a gift for making others feel welcomed and loved, whether through her warm smile, her kind words, or her delicious cooking. One of her greatest delights was spending time fishing — a peaceful pastime she cherished.

She was a faithful member of Moncks Corner Baptist Church and served diligently until her health began to decline.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Yvonne Diana Brown, Elijah Kenneth Brown, Tracey Washington, and Samuel Edward Gibbs III; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Elias Brown (Elouise), Hazel B. Jackson, and Emily A. Jackson (Rev. John); sister-in-law, Ida Fogel; along with a host of family members and friends who were blessed by her presence.

A viewing will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, June 23, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Moncks Corner Baptist Church, 496 East Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC. (The processional will begin at 10:45 a.m.). Burial will follow in Moncks Corner Baptist Church Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC.
