Mrs. Floria Mae Sullivan, age 91, loving mother of one and adoring wife to the late Mr. Wilson Sullivan, transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her residence. Floria was born on October 16, 1930 in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of the late Benjamin Selby, Sr. and Carrie Selby.

Floria  graduated from Allen University, Columbia, SC, with a Bachelor degree in Education. She began her teaching career in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC and continued teaching in Richmond County, GA for 38 years. She retired in 1989.

Floria  was married to Wilson Sullivan on October 28, 1965. They were married for 39 years. Mr. Sullivan preceded her in death.

Floria  had a love for God, motherhood and teaching. She enjoyed seafood - loving bream fish and blue crabs on Fridays. She also enjoyed arts, crafts, and creating floral arrangements. Floria will be remembered for her character, personality, smile, straightforwardness, and the love she showered to her family, friends and people who she was blessed to come into contact with. She had a heart of gold and was always eager and enthusiastic to help others. She was always lending a helpful hand and spreading love to any and everyone who crossed her path and needed help.

She is survived by one son, Anthony Sullivan of Augusta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Floria was preceded in death by: her brothers, Bubba, Moses, and Jule; and sisters, Pearl and Evelena.

Viewing will be held Monday, January 17, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Selby Family Cemetery, Highway 402 and Witherbee Road, Moncks Corner, SC, with viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Face masks are required at the funeral home.
