Florine Dingle Addison , the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lizzie Williams Dingle, was born on May 24, 1920 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence in St. Stephen, South Carolina.
Florine was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County.
Florine accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church at an early age. She served in many spiritual capacities to include: Sunday School Teacher, Senior Choir member, Usher and Deaconess.
Florine was united in Holy Matrimony to Deacon John D. Addison on November 14, 1936. This union was blessed with four children. Her husband and two children preceded her in death.
Florine leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories: two devoted daughters, Ruthine Finley and Robersena Davis both of St. Stephen, SC; seven grandchildren, Willie and Wardell Finley of Georgia, Warren (Stacey) Finley of Freeport, NY, Lisa Lucas of New Jersey, Keisha (Troy) Matthews of Freeport, NY, Dr. Claudette (Ahmad) Gaskin-el of Waldorf, MD and Shepard Davis, Jr. of Jamaica, NY; twelve great-grandchildren; two great, great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Inetha Dingle and Bernice Jefferson both of St. Stephen, SC; one brother-in-law, Paul Jefferson of Baltimore, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
