It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt faith that we announce the passing of Mrs. Florine Gordon Perry of Detroit, MI, who peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Mrs. Perry will be lovingly remembered for her gentle spirit and the many gifts she shared with others. She was known for her melodious voice, her green thumb, and her unwavering love for family and community. Through her community garden, she joyfully taught children how to plant, nurture, and harvest vegetables—sowing not only seeds in the soil, but lessons of patience, care, and togetherness. She also enjoyed traveling and bowling, embracing life with joy wherever she went. 

A Family Hour will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Celebration Service at 11:00 a.m., at Moncks Corner Baptist Church, 496 East Main Street, Moncks Corner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing after the service.
