Fred Norman Haynes, son of the late Joseph and Ruthie Mae Farmer Haynes, was born on November 9, 1956 in Colleton County, SC. Fred received his education in the Colleton County School District. In 1996, Fred was united in marriage to Betty Johnson. Fred became a member of Cordesville United Methodist Church where he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He served as the Head Trustee and was the pastor's right hand. Fred was very active in the community and was a friend to ALL. On Thursday, October 9, 2008, Fred departed this life at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. Those who will always cherish his memory are: his wife, Betty Johnson Haynes of Moncks Corner, SC; two sons, Andrick Moore of Columbia, SC and Alex Myers of Washington, DC; stepson, Anthony (Evelyn) Johnson of Goose Creek, SC; stepdaughter, Cassandra (Donelle) Wilson of Rosedale, NY; three brothers, Henry (Donna) Haynes, Joseph (Regina) Haynes and Richard (Diresa) Haynes all of Cottageville, SC; six sisters, Jeanette Arnold and Martha Lee Brunson both of Tuskegee, AL, Emma Mae Campbell of Orangeburg, SC, Wendy (Michael) McBride of Atlanta, GA, Loretha Williams of Walterboro, SC, and Mary Jo Richardson of Summerville, SC; mother-in-law, Herlene Johnson of Moncks Corner, SC; sister-in-law, Saleema (Omar) Shaheed; brothers-in-law, Dr. Danny (Cynthia) Johnson, Kenneth (Bonita) Johnson, and Melvin Johnson, Jr.; grandchildren; special grandson, Jamal; special granddaughter, Da'Daja'; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Fred was preceded in death by two brothers, David and James Powell, and one sister, Cherry Haynes Vandyke.
