Obituary

Out of silence there tenderly falls the sound of God's voice as He lovingly calls, "This is my will, Come home, weary one." A trusting voice answers, "Lord, Thy will be done." Mr. Fred Albert Middleton, son of Mr. Simon "Buddy" and Mrs. Elouise Middleton, was born April 3, 1950 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC. Fred was educated in the public schools of Berkeley High School. He was a 1967 graduate of Russellville High School, St. Stephen, SC. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, Fred was employed as a Supply Specialist at the Beaufort Naval Shipyard until retirement. At an early age, Fred attended Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church where he served as a Junior Lay Reader. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers, St. Julian (Rose) Middleton of Miami, FL, Sam (Bertha) Middleton of St. Stephen, SC and Leroy Middleton of New Haven, CT; five sisters, Alberta (Chris) Henry of Yonkers, NY, Annie Middleton, Mae (Calvin) Nicholson, Rebecca (Charles) Kelley all of New Haven, CT and Rosa (Jay) Jenkins of Moncks Corner, SC; a nephew reared as a brother, Ronnie (Sheila) Middleton of Fredericksburg, VA; three uncles, Rev.
