George Rorie III, affectionately known to family and friends as "Skeet", departed this life on December 23, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.

Skeet was born on August 23, 1973 to George Rorie Jr. and Deloris Frazier Rorie in Charleston, South Carolina. He was reared in Moncks Corner and received his education in the public schools of Berkeley County. He graduated from Berkeley High School in the Class of 1991.

As a youth, Skeet grew up in Rock Hill Baptist Church. He was known for helping anyone and everybody in the community and abroad in any way he could assist them.

Skeet was passionate about music, especially Rap music. He also loved luxury cars, seafood, and men's fashion wear. Most of all, Skeet will be remembered for the love that he shared with his mother.

Skeet was preceded in death by his father, George Rorie Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories: his loving and devoted mother, Deloris Rorie Harris; five children, Skhadijah Rorie, Dakota Rorie, Alex P. Rorie, Naseria Rorie, and Jalisa Simmons; three grandchildren; a devoted friend, Denise Simmons; a special friend, Diana Cordero; aunts and uncle; and a host of cousins and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Rock Hill Baptist Church, 975 South Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC. Interment will be in the church's cemetery. Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
