With heartfelt sympathy and deep compassion, we announce the passing of Mr. Gilbert King, Sr., of St. Stephen, South Carolina, who departed this life on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

Mr. King was a hardworking, hands-on man who enjoyed keeping busy and working with his hands. Whether building something, working on vehicles, or caring for lawns, he found satisfaction in a job well done. However, one of his greatest joys was vegetable gardening, a pastime that held a special place in his heart.

Mr. King's life and memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Mrs. Lover King; his children, Cassandra Turner, Ira Muhammad, and Gilbert King, Jr.; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

As the King family mourns the loss of their loved one, we humbly ask that you surround them with love, kindness, and heartfelt prayers. May they find strength and comfort in the love and support of family and friends and in the precious memories they will forever hold dear.

The family will receive friends at their residence daily from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
