Gustinea graduated from Berkeley Training High School in 1958 and was a licensed cosmetologist for many years. Gustinea loved taking pictures, making scrapbooks, cooking, gardening, and watching football on Thursdays and Sundays.
Gustinea traveled to Tennessee for a visit and met her soulmate, Benjamin Taylor Jr. They were married June 9, 1962. They traveled the world until Benjamin's retirement and made Clarkesville, TN their home. Gustinea became mother, sister, grandma to many while residing in Clarkesville, TN. Gustinea's home was a safe haven and a place of peace that many came to love as they knew they could talk to her and get a true answer to their situation.
Gustinea was a faithful member at the Soliders Chapel where she served and worshipped her Lord and Savior until she returned to South Carolina. She then became a working servant at her home church, Holy Comforter Reformed Episcopal Church where she was reared as a child.
Gustinea was employed by Clarkesville-Montgomery County School System as a Support Staff working with the Special Needs children who loved her and she loved them back until she retired.
