Ecclesiastes 3:1-2-4 On Monday, November 23, 2009, Gwendolyn Gillians Grant was chosen to be with the Lord. Gwendolyn, affectionately known as Gwen, was born January 29, 1951 in Moncks Corner, SC. She was the daughter of the late Freddie P. and Alethia B. Lloyd Gillians. At an early age, Gwen joined the Greater Emanuel AME Church where she served on the Steward Board. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society. Gwen was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC and was a 1969 graduate of Berkeley Training High School, Moncks Corner, SC. She continued her education at Trident Technical College, Charleston, SC where she received an Associate's Degree in Dietary Management. Gwen was a certified Dietary Manager for over 30 years at White Oak Manor Nursing Home and Hallmark Health Care Center. Gwen had a passion for cooking and serving everyone with her tasty dishes. Gwen was blessed with one daughter, Lisa Nikki on August 22, 1972. Nikki was very special to her. Gwen will forever be remembered and missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Gwen leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband, Earl L. Grant of Moncks Corner, SC; her daughter, Lisa Nikki Young of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Freddie D. (Patricia) Gillians of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Terry G. (Cleveland) Pugh of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Janet Grant of Savannah, GA; nephew/godson, Marcus C. Pugh; nephew, Patrice Grant; nieces, Latelsa Gillians and Mortelsa Gillians; aunts, Marie (Oliver) Manigault and Louise Lloyd of Moncks Corner, SC; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
