On Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:04 a.m., Harold Eugene Singleton, loving husband, father of three and grandfather of five, passed away at age 65.

Harold was born on August 6, 1955 in Charleston, SC to Margaret Dixon Myers.

He attended Berkeley County Schools and was a proud graduate of Berkeley High School Class of 1974.

On October 22, 1977, he married his high school sweetheart, Hazel Lenora Doyle.

Harold was known for spending time with his family and friends. He loved walking his grands Xhairrah and Kingston to the park. He often socialized with neighbors Elijah Morton and Joe President, as well as his friends at the Country Store on Highway 402 in Cordesville, SC. He enjoyed watching football with his son MJ.  Harold also had a love for eating sweets, his favorite being the Little Debbie snack cakes.

Harold was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Dixon Myers; brother, Larry Maurice Singleton and grandson, Kevin Wilson,  Jr.

He is survived by: his loving, dedicated and faithful wife Hazel; his three children, Kevin Wilson, Sr., New Carrollton, MD, Crystal Laren Singleton, Moncks Corner, SC and Markeith Jarmon Singleton, Hanahan, SC; one brother, Retired Staff Sergeant James Singleton, Sr. (Brenda), Irmo, SC; five grandchildren, Rmondrah Singleton, Zenobi Manson, Xhairrah Singleton, Kingston Singleton and Malayah Singleton; three sisters-in-law, Linda Garnett (Rev. Fred), Irene Simmons and Alisha Howard; two brothers-in-law, St. Julian Doyle and Apostle Bruce Doyle (Beulyta); extremely close cousins, Gerald Borden and Marie Tiny Gibbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be receiving guests at their home. Thank you for your prayers, understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.

Viewing will be Friday, September 11, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Brightman Memorial Cemetery, 1169 Old Church Road, Cordesville, SC. As per CDC guidelines, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
