IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen Louise
Nelson Rollerson
April 20, 1930 – September 16, 2021
Helen Louise Nelson Rollerson, daughter of the late Adam Nelson and Alethia Wilson Pitts Nelson of Charleston, was born April 20, 1930, in Charleston, SC. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC.
Helen received her education in the schools of South Carolina. She was employed as a Teacher's Aide with the Berkeley County School Distract for a number of years until her retirement.
Helen was united in marriage to David Rollerson, Jr. They were blessed with five sons. Her husband and one son preceded her in death.
Helen first became a member of St. Mark AME Church where the family migrated in 1963. She later became a member of the Church of Christ.
Helen, the third eldest of her siblings, was always available to those in need. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, quilting, baking biscuits, and not necessarily in that order.
She leaves to carry on her legacy: four sons, Alphonso, Gregory (Ethel), Claflin (Rudelle) and her baby, as she always called him, Ethan; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Albert Nelson, Converse Nelson (Daisy) and Alethia Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
