It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Helen Green Simmons of Moncks Corner, SC, who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her children, Edward Rivers (Mary Lee), Dorothy Summers, Daniel Green (Janice), Amber Palmer, Vanessa Altman (Jimmy), Anthony Simmons, Thomas Simmons (Doretha) and Mark Simmons, Sr. (Valerie); siblings, Christine Buncum, Ben (Idabelle) Butler, Betty Butler and Deloris Butler; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Simmons was the widow of Mr. Henry Leroy Simmons.

Viewing will be Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing, as per CDC guidelines for COVID-19.

In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will celebrate Mrs. Simmons' life with a Private Funeral Service (by invitation only) on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  The service will be live-streamed on Gethers Funeral Home's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gethersfh

Mrs. Simmons will be buried in Payne Chapel Cemetery, Cordesville, SC following the funeral service.
