Hellen Britton Gibbs, the daughter of Deacon Joe Britton and Sarah Britton, was born on June 28, 1965, in Eadytown, South Carolina. God called her to her Heavenly home on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

Hellen attended and graduated from Cross High in 1983. She received her cosmetology license in Moncks Corner, SC.

She was united in holy matrimony to Anton Gibbs. This union was blessed with two children, one son, Anton Britton, and one daughter, Antonette Gibbs.

Hellen accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1996 and was baptized shortly after at Christ Revival Center Church. She was also a member of Christ Revival Center Church, in St. Stephen, South Carolina.

Hellen had a natural gift of making people laugh, making them feel welcomed and loved. She also had a great talent of being a hair stylist, all while loving people and making them smile with her own infectious smile. She was an incredibly loving wife, mother, and soon to be grandmother.

Hellen leaves many to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Anton Gibbs of Cordesville, SC; her children, Anton Britton of Columbia, SC, and Antonette Gibbs of Columbia, SC; her parents, Deacon Joe Britton and Sarah Britton of Eadytown, SC; daughter-in-law, April Britton and expected grandchild, Tucker James Britton; her siblings: Yvonne Cooper Rimmer of Miami, FL, Joe Britton, Jr. of Eadytown, SC, Michael Britton of Macon, GA and Greg Britton of Jacksonville, FL. She also leaves behind five sisters-in-law: Martha (Michael) White of Cordesville, SC, Pearlie (Jerome) Sumpter of Hampton, SC, Virginia (Frank) Limehouse of Cordesville, SC, Gloria (Pastor Jerome) Wilson of Moncks Corner, SC and Aleisha (Reginald) Turner of Charlotte, NC; one brother-in-law, Marion (Adell) Gibbs of Huger, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Hellen was preceded in death by one brother Alphonso Britton of Macon GA, and one sister Mary Jane Lee of Cross, SC.
