Henry McFadden, Jr., the son of Elizabeth Brown and the late Henry McFadden, Sr., was born on April 22, 1964 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. On the evening of Wednesday, July 20, 2016, the Lord required another angel and called Henry home.

"Barry" as he was most affectionately called, was reared in a Christian home with God fearing parents.

He received his education in the Berkeley County School System, and was a 1982 graduate of Berkeley High School. Soon after graduation, Barry enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country for four years and received an Honorable Discharge.

The discipline, patriotism and hard work he learned in the Army never left him. He later became a professional painter. Barry took pride in his work as painting was truly his passion. He mastered the craft and taught several others to do the same.

Barry was well-known. He never met a stranger and whenever he was around there was never a dull moment.

Having been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tired by adversity and tested by fire, he leaves behind a proud legacy to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Elizabeth (James) Brown; his loving daughter, Taniqwa Small; his precious granddaughter, Autumn Small; four sisters, Loretta S. (Tommy) Mansel, Gloria Sharper, Sheila McFadden and Aretha McFadden; his brother, Lugene Hopson; six aunts; one uncle; three nieces; four nephews to include his very special nephew, Quiozel T. Simmons, Sr.; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
