Henry W. Wigfall, affectionately known as "Bree", was born on November 15, 1941 in Pineville, South Carolina to the late Samuel B. and Frances S. Wigfall, the tenth of eleven children born to this union. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, June 16, 2010. Henry was educated in the Berkeley County School System. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Morris College in 1965. He had an extensive career as a chemical engineer working with Diamond Shamrock, Graver Water Company, Merck Pharmaceutical Company and ending his career as a consultant for Purolite. He was dedicated to his career for over thirty-four years. After his retirement, he devoted most of his time to teaching young students Chemistry, Geometry and Physics. His passion was to pass on his wealth of knowledge to the younger generation. Henry was very active with the Morris College Alumni Association, and spent his free time bowling, playing baseball and tutoring young people. Henry was very outgoing and was a favorite among his nieces and nephews. You could often find him counseling them, taking them to games and supporting their athletic and social activities. He dominated most conversations among his friends bragging about his granddaughter, Brittney and grandsons, Myron and Michael Jr. His daughter, Nicole was the apple of his eye and he stuck his chest way out over his son, Michael. Henry was baptized at an early age at Hickory Hill Baptist Church and rededicated his life at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. Upon his return home, he reunited with Hickory Hill Baptist Church and served as a Trustee until his illness. He will be fondly remembered for his jolly ways, friendly approach and loving nature. Henry never met a stranger! Henry leaves to cherish his fond memories: his son, Michael Wigfall, Sr. (Hilda) of Ridgeville, SC; his daughter, Nicole Waters (David) of Cortlandt Manor, NY; granddaughter, Brittney Waters; grandsons, Myron and Michael, Jr.; sisters, Wilhelmina Register of Newark, NJ and Lydia Shirley Forrest (Alvin) of Augusta, GA; one brother, Robert L. Wigfall of Las Vegas, NV; sisters-in-law, Rosalie, Charlotte and Loretta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to his loving caretakers: Rosalie, Anne, Arleen, Tony, Teddy and his baby sister, Shirley.
