Herbert Lee Graham, affectionately called "Red" or "Graham" by family and friends, was born on December 29, 1960 in Williamsburg County, SC, to Mr. Willie James Graham and Mrs. Lucille Briggs Graham. He departed this life on July 24, 2018 in Alvin, SC.
Herbert Lee was educated in the Williamsburg County School System. He was employed at Jamestown Wooling Company, A&W Construction and Knights Flooring. He was also a self-employed welder for many years.
Herbert Lee was baptized at an early age at Asbury United Methodist Church. He also attended Bethlehem Baptist Church where he sang on the Male Choir and the Singing Disciples. He also played the role of John the Baptist in the religious production of "This Man Jesus".
"Red" was a cook for various community events. He enjoyed fishing and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He was loved by many and was always willing to help others. He never met a stranger and was always ready to make you laugh with one of his jokes.
Herbert Lee was joined in Holy Matrimony to Feda Brown on August 6, 1985. In this union, they were blessed with three daughters.
He was preceded in death by his father Willie James Graham; brother, James Edward Graham; and sister Gale Tisdale.
He leaves to cherish his legacy: a loving wife, Feda Brown Graham of Alvin, SC; three daughters, Akea Cetera Graham, Shavoya Danea Graham both of Alvin, SC and Tichinia Chavera Graham of Spartanburg, SC; his mother, Lucille Briggs Graham of Andrews, SC; five sisters, Eva (Herman) Dorsey of Upper Marlboro, MD, Gladys (Otis) Dorsey, Vernell Graham, Cylinda Davis and Tammie Graham all of Andrews, SC; two grandsons who he loved dearly, Ares Mason Moore and Ayden Noah Lewis both of Alvin, SC; three brothers-in-law, Joseph Brown, Stonnie Brown both of Alvin, SC and Terry (Kelly) McCray of New Haven, CT; one sister-in-law, Evangeline Gethers of Columbus, GA; three aunts, Alafair Grayson, Berneatha Graham both of Andrews, SC and Lelia Carter of Baltimore, MD; a host of nieces and nephews; a host of close friends; and other relatives and friends.
