I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course , I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 On Friday, January 25, 2013, God called His servant Brother Hezekiah John Addison from his labor to reward. John, the son of the late Minnie and Albert Simmons, was born on January 13, 1940 in Berkeley County, South Carolina and graduated from Russellville High School in 1958. After high school, John lived in New York and Philadelphia, PA then returned to St. Stephen in 1972. For over 20 years, John worked for Sears in several different positions before he retired as a salesperson in major appliances. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, westerns, and is remembered fondly as "Mr. Fix It." He was united in Holy Matrimony to Joyce Lefft Addison for 52 years. John leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife; three devoted children: Spencer Addison of Charleston, SC, Vicky Addison of West Palm Beach, FL, and Craig (Sharon) Addison of Charlotte, NC; two loyal sisters, Doris Hudson and Betty Grant of New York; four grandchildren: Jordan, Jared, Emily, and Erin Addison; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
