II Timothy 4:7 Mrs. Ida Bell Washington Jones, a daughter of Elick and Florence Washington, was born February 4, 1933 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. She departed this life on December 9, 2010 in North Charleston, SC. Ida received her education in the Berkeley County Public Schools. At an early age, she became a member of New Mount Zion A.M.E. Church. Ida was united in holy matrimony to Robert Lee Jones. They were blessed with eight children. One daughter, Teresa Jones Rivers, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Onaje (Debbie) Washington of Loganville, GA, John E. (Stephanie) Washington of Bronx, NY, Sam (Gwen) Washington of Walterboro, SC, Sandra Washington of Goose Creek, SC, Katherine Washington of Jamestown, SC, Raymond Lee (Jackie) Jones of Jamestown, SC, and Edward J. (Flora) Jones of Ladson, SC; beloved nieces, Mable Kearise and Carolyn Limehouse; godchildren, Ruthie Fayall and Kristen Singleton; special cousin, Ida Alston; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
