Ida Mae Sutton passed away peacefully on  Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Roper Hospice Cottage, Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Ida was born January 23, 1937 in McClellanville, SC, a daughter of the late Samuel Sutton and Rosalie Winns Sutton. She attended the public schools of Charleston County - South Santee Elementary School, McClellanville, SC. She worked on a tobacco and bean field and worked as a home maker.

Ida's memories will live on by: her two daughters, Earnestine S. Campbell of McClellanville, SC and Annette Sutton of Georgetown, SC; seven grandchildren, Alexander D. Campbell of St. Stephen, SC, Jessica C. Burton of Charlotte, NC, Jessie J. Campbell of Dallas, TX, Preston Sutton of Philadelphia, PA, Kendra Sutton of Cainhoy, SC, Jasmine Sutton of Georgetown, SC and Anastassia Sutton of Georgetown, SC; great-grandchildren, Tywon Herd, Ivan Campbell, Jada Simmons, Jada Campbell, Jaylen Campbell, Joshua Burton, Tevyn Green, Aubrey Burton, Imani Singleton and Marcellis Singleton, Jr; her loving sister, Evalena Sutton of McClellanville, SC; sister-in-law, Mary Sutton of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Ida was preceded in death by: eight brothers,  Samuel Sutton, James Sutton, Christopher Sutton, John Sutton, Tony Sutton, Leroy Sutton, Richard Sutton and Jessie Sutton Sr.; two sisters, Nancy  Flowers and Margaret Reid; three sisters-in-law, Julia Gillyard Sutton Rollins, Julia Jenkins Sutton, and Ethel Jenkins Sutton.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at the O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Burial will be in Old Board Cemetery, McClellanville, SC.
