"Everything is lovely." - The immortal words of Brother Isaac Isaac Washington, the first of eleven children born to the late Hezekiah and Susan Nelson Washington, was born on February 6, 1931 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. Isaac joined Bethel United Methodist Church at an early age and served faithfully until he moved away from the community. He spent most of his adult life in Philadelphia, PA where he was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years. Early on Tuesday morning, September 23, 2014, while at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC, Isaac quietly slipped away into eternity. He was preceded in death by: his children, William (aka James), Mary Ann, Veronica and Eric; and siblings, Ella Mae, Claude Allen, Mary Jane, Alice and Margaret. Lasting memories of Isaac will linger forever in the minds and hearts of those who knew and loved him most: two sons, Matthew, Philadelphia, PA and Wayne, St. Stephen, SC; two daughters, Antoinette and Madeline, Philadelphia, PA; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, John (Rose), Jersey City, NJ, Geneva, Emporia, VA, Rosa Lee, Jersey City, NJ, Jack C. (Johanna) and Rebecca, Columbia, SC, Elizabeth (Elwood), Midlothian, TX and James (Beatrice), Miami, FL; a sister-in-law, Naomi; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, acquaintances and most especially his extended family in Philadelphia, PA.
