Isabell S. Wright, the daughter of Rebecca Smalls Lloyd Vanish, was born on Saturday, October 4, 1930 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was called to her eternal home with the Lord on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC. Isabell received her education in the schools of Berkeley County, SC. She attended the Cherry Hill School and graduated from Berkeley Training School in Moncks Corner, SC. At an early age, Isabell joined Mt. Carmel African Methodist Episcopal Church where she dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She served diligently as a member of: Stewardess Board #1, the Spiritual Wings Choir and the Pulpit Aide Society. Isabell was united in holy matrimony to Samuel Lee Wright on July 24, 1951. "Soupie" or "Bell", as most people affectionately called her, was known for cooking and serving her church, community and anyone who would knock on her door. She took pride in helping others. She dedicated over forty years of her life managing restaurants and serving Berkeley County, SC. Isabell loved gardening, painting, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Samuel Lee Wright; a son, George Lee Wright; stepfathers, James Lloyd and Louis Vanish; and a son-in-law, Reverend Harry Whitaker, Jr. Those remaining to grow from her love and wisdom: her children, Barbara Whitaker of Jamestown, SC, Richard (Betty) Wright, Ernell (Annette) Wright both of Moncks Corner, SC, Beverly (Isaac) Green of Summerville, SC and Pastor Michael (Althea) Wright of Charleston, SC; her mother, Rebecca S. Lloyd Vanish of New York, NY; daughter-in-law, Mona Wells of Moncks Corner, SC; two stepdaughters, Evelina (Marcus) Hodges of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Janie Williams of Charleston, SC; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; her siblings, Benjamin Lloyd, Jessie (Gladys) Lloyd, Lillie Lloyd, Alberta (George) Smalls, Barbara Robinson all of New York, NY and Paul (Beatrice) Johnson of Moncks Corner, SC; her aunt, Beatrice Green of Mt. Pleasant, SC; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Marion (Dell) Vanish, Jesse J. (Thelma) Vanish, Burnett T. (Ruth) Vanish, Jeff (Linda) Vanish all of Moncks Corner, SC, Miriam (Quincy) Hamm of Columbus, OH, and Gwen (Rob) Williams of Jacksonville, FL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph (Althea) Coad, Richard (Hattie) Coad, Janie Gethers, Jessie Mae Whitfield all of Moncks Corner, SC, James (Hazel) Coad of Long Island, New York and Virginia Lee Wright of Philadelphia, PA; a special cousin, Christine Buncum of Mt.
