Brother Isaiah Roosevelt Fashion, the third child of Victor Sinclair and Mary Cooper Fashion, was born November 15, 1923 in the Cherry Hill Community of Berkeley County, South Carolina. A Time to Die... His journey ended Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his residence. A Time For Every Purpose Under The Heaven... He dutifully served as a Senior Trustee of Mount Carmel A.M.E. Church where he worshiped until his health began to decline. He was also instrumental in the planning and construction of the edifice. Brother Isaiah, affectionately known as "Fish", grew up in the Cherry Hill Community where he attended Cherry Hill School and completed his education at Berkeley Training School in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. On September 14, 1943, he was drafted to serve his country in the United States Army Air Corps (now known as the United States Air Force) and served until February 14, 1946. Upon his separation, he attended South Carolina State College where he received training in Auto Mechanics. In June of 1961, Isaiah became employed at the Charleston Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic and retired in February of 1984 after 23 years of dedicated service. Brother Isaiah was also the community barber for three generations, and he provided services to the sick and shut-in, family, and friends. A Time To Be Blessed... On February 26, 1950, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Wilhemenia Bryan. This union was blessed with one son, Virgil Roosevelt, and two nieces/daughters, Barbara and Shirley. A Time of Memories... Loved ones who will cherish his fond memories forever are: one son and two daughters, Mr. Virgil Roosevelt (Rose) Fashion, Mrs. Barbara M. (Henry) Simmons both of Moncks Corner, SC, and Dr. Shirley B. Lloyd of Goose Creek, SC; one brother, Mr. Victor Fashion, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; one brother-in-law, Deacon Solomon (Mary) Bryan of Moncks Corner, SC; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Nettie Bryan of Bronx, NY, and Mrs. Nancy B. (Rev. David) Manigault of Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren: Jevon, Jordan, Latorie, Jamaal, Darrell (Alicia), Devora (Aaron), Desiree, and Johnell; numerous great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
