Isaiah Pou, known to all as "Ike" was born on June 3, 1955 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina to the late O.B. Pou and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Smith Pou. He heard and answered God's call and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2009 at 5:31 p.m. at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Mitten Lane Holiness Church. His love and support for his church was shown as he gave his time towards the beautification of the church. Ike was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County and received his high school diploma in 1973. After completing high school, Ike played semi-pro football for three years with the James Island Hawks. Ike worked as a Journey Electrician most of his life and was a committed member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was always willing to give of himself and all that he had without having to be asked. He found great pleasure in helping others. Ike was united in Holy Matrimony to Joan "Joanne" Pou for thirty years. This union was blessed with four children. In his heart was a deep and special love for his children, grandchildren and family.
