Born of one, loved by many, Jacquelin Joy Taylor, the daughter of Caesar Joy, Sr. and Ruth Naomi Joy, was born August 19, 1957, in Moncks Corner, SC. She peacefully answered her call on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was a proud 1975 graduate of Berkeley High School and attended Denmark Technical College. She was united in holy matrimony on October 3, 1982 to Larry Anthony Taylor.

Jackie, as she was lovingly called, was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. God blessed her many talents like tailoring, but she mostly enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening.

She was well known and loved by all she came in contact with. She never met a stranger and did all she could for her family and friends. As so many loved her and her presence, when you heard anyone say, "How Come Not", you knew just who they had been blessed to know.

Jacquelin was preceded in death by her father and mother, the late Caesar Joy, Sr. and Ruth Naomi Joy; her husband, the late Larry A. Taylor; and her brother, the late Caesar Joy, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Tarvas L. Joy, Chiquta T. Murray (Akwesi), Nyeshia E. Taylor (fiancé, Henry), and Jessica T. Campbell (Michael); brothers, Cecil J. Joy (Gladys) and Cornelius Joy; sisters, Effius E. Packer and Y-Annett Gadsden (William); seven grandchildren, Shyheim Joel Taylor, Aaniyah Ross, Mikayla Kelly, Elisa Taylor, Makenzi Campbell, Anthony Campbell, and Austin Bryant; a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held Monday, September 5, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Face masks are required. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1008 Sugar Hill Drive, Moncks Corner, SC. Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. There will be no viewing after the service.
