It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. James Simmons of St. Stephen, South Carolina who transitioned on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Mr. Simmons memories will forever be remembered and cherished by his children; Joycelyn Johnson, Cecelia Wilson (Rev. Johnnie), James Simmons, Jr. (Tamara), Tommy Simmons (Thomasina), Willie Simmons, Larry Simmons, Wayne Simmons (Monica), Josh Simmons (Nakia), Kevin Simmons (Latefa), and Marquis Simmons. He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor Pickett.

Mr. Simmons is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Simmons and son, Jack Johnson.

A public viewing will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC, with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be no viewing after the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 360 Dunmeyer Hill Road, Summerville, SC.
