Janice A. Lugo Butler, the daughter of Johnny (Fox) Gadsden and the late Cheryl Gadsden, was born March 22, 1959. She departed this life on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina Ashley Towers, Charleston, SC . Janice received her education in the public schools of New York and graduated from Summer School in Forest Hills, New York on June 21, 1978. She was enrolled at Trident Technical College where she pursued an Associate Degree in Early Childhood. She was also pursuing her Master Degree. Janice was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth C. Butler in June of 1983. After her marriage, she became a member of Grace Reformed Episcopal Church, Moncks Corner, SC. Janice had a tremendous love for children. She opened her business, the Busy Bee Childcare where she nurtured, loved and cared for many children. She enjoyed swimming and shopping. She leaves to cherish her fond memories: a loving, faithful and devoted husband, Kenneth C. Butler; sisters, Michelle Gadsden of Richmond, VA and Venus Gadsden of California; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Helen A. (James) Davis, Wanda B. (Raymond) President, Carthell (Pat) Butler, Ralph (Sandra) Butler, Anthony (Cindy) Butler, Johnnie (Anna) Hutchinson, Harold (Bonnie) Scott, David (Ella Mae) Mack, and Leonard (Supreme) Simmington; aunts: Eliza Giwa, Dorothy Howard, Ellen Allen and Elise Addison; uncle, Willie Howard; special cousin, Earnestine Porter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
