Jerry Watson, Sr., the son of the late Victoria Addison and adopted son of the late Sellers and Lucille Watson, was born April 20, 1942 in St. Stephen, SC. Jerry received his education in the Berkeley County Public Schools. He was employed at UniRoyal and Gates in Moncks Corner, SC for 27 years until he moved to Philadelphia, PA. After living in Philadelphia for six years, Jerry moved back home to St. Stephen, SC. Jerry was an easy-going person, and he loved to draw. Jerry departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at his residence. Jerry leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Virginia Watson of Philadelphia, PA; four sons, Jerry Jr., Raymond, Vernon and Clifford; daughter, Cora; three brothers, Clivin Parson, Thomas Dingle and Charles Kennedy; two sisters, Mattie Minter and Jeanette Brown; six grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, a special family friend, Beverley Haines of Philadelphia, PA; other relatives and friends.
