With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Johnnie “Sonnyboy” Middleton of St. Stephen, SC, who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Affectionately known as “Sonnyboy,” Mr. Middleton loved being a friend to mankind. His word was his bond, and his kindness and sincerity left lasting impressions on those who knew him. He found joy in fishing, caring for lawns, and attending church. A faithful member of St. Stephen Baptist Church, he served diligently, reflecting his love for God and others through his actions.

He leaves a legacy of love to his siblings, Herbert L. Middleton, Ernestine Middleton, Mary Davis, Catherine Ellis, Shirley (Garred) Pinckney, Dianne (Rev. Delbert) Brown, Ruby M. Glover, and Brandon K. J. Middleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the memories he leaves will remain close to their hearts.

Funeral arrangements will be shared at a later date.

We humbly ask that you uplift the Middleton family in prayer and surround them with love during this season of grief. May they find comfort in God’s promises and strength in the cherished memories of a life that touched so many.
