Jonathan Boone , a son of the late Jonathan Boone, Sr. and Joyce (Delmar) Nelson Yeadon, was  born on August 12, 1976 in Charleston, SC. He departed this life on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in North Charleston, SC.

Joey, as he was called by family and friends, received his education in the public schools of Berkeley County, graduating from St. Stephen High School in 1994.  While in high school, Joey was an outstanding football player for the St. Stephen High Rams.  He received numerous recognitions for his football skills.

At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Messiah Reformed Episcopal Church, Pineville, SC.

Jonathan served his country by enlisting in the United States Marines and the United States Army where he earned several medals including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and Army Good Conduct Medal. He received an honorable discharge in 2012.

Jonathan attended Trident Technical College and Virginia College after his military discharge. He enjoyed reading and writing.  He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Joyce (Delmar) Yeadon;  his son, Brandon; his siblings, Anthony (Niki) Nelson, Jaquetta B. Mitchell, Delmar Yeadon, Jr. and Tyrone Yeadon; maternal grandmother, Mary Nelson; niece, Neveah; nephews, Kevin, Curtis and Josiah; aunts, Mary L. Washington, Barbara Boone, Delores (Peter) Johnson, Rev. Constance N. Barnes, Cheryl Nelson, JoAnn Nelson, Faith (Sherman) Mouzon, Sadie (Corey) Alston, Olanda Nelson and Rolanda N. James; uncles, Robert (Debra) Boone, Leonard (Belinda) Boones, Nathaniel Nelson and George Boone; a host of cousins, family and friends.
