Obituary

Jordan Dant é Fashion , son of Virgil and Rose, was born on August 27, 1990 in Bethesda, Maryland. On Saturday, July 13, 2019, he drew his last breath at 4:00 a.m. and went to his eternal home to be with the Lord.

At Mt. Carmel AME, Jordan served in many capacities with the Young People Division (YPD), Youth Choir, Usher and maintained the church grounds with his dad and brother.

Jordan attended Berkeley County Schools and was a student at Trident Technical College. As a full time employee at Lowe's, Jordan connected well with people and never met a stranger. In 2017, Jordan was recognized for rendering outstanding service in which he received a Customer Focused Service Award. He was a dedicated employee until the challenges of his health limited his ability to continue. Jordan enjoyed various genres of music but most of all spending time traveling with family and friends.

Whenever Jordan was around, the room was filled with joy and laughter. He had an undeniable ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Jordan truly lived life to the fullest through his love for cars, gaming and travel. Those who were close to him knew he was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

Jordan was instrumental in caring for his paternal grandfather (Isaiah) with whom he cherished until his death. Through the caregiving, he and his grandfather formed an unbreakable bond. It was those words we often heard from both. His grandfather left his sense of humor with him that Jordan carried throughout the remainder of his life. Jordan will be remembered for his jokes, brightening smile and willingness to help.

In his later years, he taught us faith, patience and love through his strength and will to fight. Jordan touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life. His love will live in our hearts forever.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his parents, Virgil and Rose Fashion; brother, Jevon R. Fashion; maternal grandparents, Deacon Richard and Dorothy Brown; aunts, Evangelist Barbara Simmons (Henry), Dr. Shirley B. Lloyd and Rebecca D. Brown; uncles, Richard S. Brown and Jonathan Brown (Crystal); special grand uncle, Victor Fashion, Jr., godmother, Latorie Lloyd Walker; a host of grandaunts, granduncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jordan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Isaiah and Wilhemenia Fashion.
