A ugust 20, 2017 , Joyce was diagnosed with cancer. While some would frown, cry, yell or scream, she looked at her family and said, "If others have went through this, why should I be any different". Her impeccable faith in GOD carried her through this journey. She never complained and if you didn't know her, one could never tell when she was in pain. That explains why GOD gave her this battle, as He knew she was one of His strong soldiers who could fight this battle.
Joyce or "JB" as some referred to her, was known by many. She had a quiet voice that commanded your attention. If you met her, you would later be known as her "sweetheart" or "honey".
At an early age, she took on the role of mother, for the "back to house crew". While it is too many to name, she loved them all dearly.
Joyce was very instrumental in the lives of the youth at Liberty R. E. Church. As a Sunday School teacher and Sunbeam Choir Director, her love for GOD made it impossible for the youth not to enjoy singing praise to Him.
Joyce unselfishly gave to anyone she came in contact with. She touched the lives of many, and the void she leaves can never be replaced. The love for her family and friends was unconditional, but we rejoice in knowing she is resting safe in His arms.
Joyce's life legacy will live on through:
