Joyce Loraine Session-Hargrove was born on April 27, 1947 in Gary, Indiana, daughter of the late James and Mabel Haynes Session of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning, July 7, 2022 in Indianapolis, IN.

She graduated from Gary Roosevelt High School in 1965. She then attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 1969.

Joyce went on to become a certified teacher and taught across the United States, including such states as: Indiana, Texas, Nevada and South Carolina. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed reading, playing piano and watching movies. Joyce was a giving soul and was always willing to help others.

She is survived by: her two siblings, Larry R. Session of Fort Worth, Texas and Brenda J. Session of Indianapolis, Indiana; her nephews, Chandler and Ron Session both of Fort Worth, TX; her great-nephews, Coran and Tariq Session; her great-great-nieces, Reina and Joanna Session; in addition to many other loving relatives and friends.

Joyce was loved and will be missed by many.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at the O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Face masks are required.
