Mrs. Judith V. Campbell Nelson, daughter of the late Mr. Phillip Campbell Sr. and the late Reverend Lillie Mae Curtis Campbell, was born in Bonneau, South Carolina, on April 25, 1955. Judith attended the public schools of Berkeley County, SC. Before her demise, she was employed at Driftwood Nursing Home, North Charleston, SC. She was united in marriage to Mr. John Nelson in April 1973. To this union one daughter, April, was born. Judith gave her hand of fellowship on March 25, 2007, and became a member of Beulah United Bible Way Church of Christ where she was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Clarence S. Fordham. Judith's desire was helping with hospitality, and she enjoyed hearing the choir, "The Chosen Ones." She took great pride in nurturing her plants. She had a passion for cleaning and cooking. On Tuesday, January 18, 2011, she entered into eternal rest at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC. She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband, Mr. John Nelson of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Ms. April Nelson Carson of Philadelphia, PA and Ms. Crystal Nelson of Washington, DC; one son, Joimar Nelson (Niyah) of North Charleston, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Richardson of Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Ida Mae Liferidge (Clarence) of Moncks Corner, SC and Mrs. Cynthia Fordham (Bishop Clarence) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, Mr. Phillip Campbell of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Joimar JJ, Alexus, Aliyah, Angel, AsiaDion and Teara; mother-in-law, Elease Richardson of New Jesey; three sisters-in-law, Veronica, Frances of Pennyslvania and Billy of Indiana; one aunt, Joan Carter (Nathaniel); three uncles, Refus, Jerry (Ida Lee) and Ned Curis; goddaughter, Danyell Holmes; foster sons, Iyo and Ito Chandler; special friends, Francena, George and Jesse; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Judith was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Eugene.
