Brother McKelvey was born a twin, his brother, Harry McKelvey preceded him in death. These two were the babies of twelve children. In addition to his twin, four brothers and five sisters also preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish fond memories: two loving sisters, Elizabeth (Harris) McDaniel of St. Stephen, SC and Doretha (Harvey) Reid of Moncks Corner, SC; a loving brother, Willie (Jean) McKelvey, Jr. of Russellville, SC; a nephew raised as a brother, Thomas (Albertha) McKelvey of St. Stephen, SC; approximately seventeen nephews; five nieces; seventeen grandnephews, eleven grandnieces; two step-nephews, one step-niece; one great grandnephew; two great grandnieces; a host of other relatives and friends.
