Latasha Danielle Simmons, daughter of E. J. Walter Simmons and Deborah Corley, was born on April 27, 1973 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. She departed her life on Friday, June 22, 2018 in Ladson, South Carolina.
Latasha, also known as Tasha, was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County, graduating from Berkeley High School in the Class of 1991. She majored in Criminal Justice and graduated from Benedict College in 1995.
At an early age Latasha joined Ministries of Truth Tabernacle where she served on the youth choir and gospel choir. Latasha loved the Lord. She loved singing, loved watching movies, most of all she loved her family.
Latasha was a source of laughter and joy to each life she touched. She will greatly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memories are: her parents, E.J. Walter Simmons (Birdie) and Deborah Corley (Harold); sisters, Lisa Grier (Terry), April Simmons, DeShanda Moses (Howard); brothers, Anthony Taylor, Minister Michael Williams (Tarnesha), Damarius Williams, Augustus Williams III (Kyounia), Harold Corley, Jr. (Barbara), and Kevin Corley (Saisha); grandmother, Evangelist Elouise Simmons; godson, Lauval Malik Simmons; and a host of aunts, uncles, grandaunts, granduncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Latasha was preceded in death by one brother, Antonio Lamont Simmons; grandparents, Elias Simmons, Sr., James and Ernestine Broughton, and Sidney and Bella Mazyck.
