Obituary

Loranda Felicia Shaw Manney, the daughter of Josephine Shaw and Zollie Pointer, was born on August 16, 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2015 in Denmark London. Loranda received her education in the New Jersey schools and was a graduate of Snyder High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fordham University, Bronx, New York. She worked with Warner Lambert and Pfizer before her employment with GE Healthcare. At the time of her demise, she held the position of Global Advertising and Promotions Manager. Loranda, known as "Randy" to many, was a member of Cathedral International, Perth Amboy, NJ. She sang in the choir and served as Choir Director. She was a very spirit-filled Praise and Worship Leader. After relocating to Katy, Texas, she became a member of TGIF Ministries. Loranda was united in holy matrimony to Minister Thomas Manney II. Loranda was a sports enthusiast. She loved sports of all kinds and was a referee for the Special Olympics. Her favorite hobbies were traveling and singing. "Randy" was a unique woman who touched the hearts of many. She will forever be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and her unwavering faith in God. Those left to cherish her sweet memories are her husband, Minister Thomas Manney II of Katy, TX; son Nyerere C. Burgess of Houston, TX; loving mother, Josephine Shaw of Newark, NJ; father, Zollie (Willa) Pointer of Baltimore, MD; stepson, Thomas Manney III; stepdaughters, Tomica and Cierra Manney; special brother, Minister Parrielea Shaw; stepsisters, Stephanie Patterson and Tiffany Burnette; mother-in-law, Joyce Bolton; father-in-law, Thomas Manney, Sr.; sister-in-law, Kimberly Smith; aunts, Bertha Shaw, Connie Nelson, Sara Shaw, Rosa Lee Barnett, Redessa Taylor and Jeanette Harris; uncle, Herman Shaw, Jr.; Godparents, Jim and Fannie Jordan; God sisters/best friends, Rashon Vice, Lydia Mathis and Nadine McCleod; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
