Mrs. Loretta Louise Davis, affectionately known as "Lo", the daughter of the late Helen McBride and the late John O'Neal, was born September 15, 1945 in Sanford, North Carolina.

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Loretta entered into eternal rest at Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Loretta was educated in the Fayetteville Public Schools in Cumberland County, North Carolina.

Loretta found Christ at an early age and later joined Bethel United Methodist Church when she relocated to St. Stephen, South Carolina. She served faithfully in the following capacities until her passing: Summer Feeding Program, Hospitality Committee, Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Bethel's DIVAs.

She married the love of her life, Mr. Marion Robert Davis, and they were happily married for 45 years. This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters and three sons.

Loretta was employed with the Visiting Nurses Association and retired after 20 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Ronald McIver, Jessie McIver, Neil Spencer McIver; and two sisters, Gloria Diane Willis and Helen Long.

Loretta leaves to cherish her loving memories: her long time devoted husband and sweetheart, Marion Robert Lee "Frank" Davis of St. Stephen, SC; five children; James McIver of New Haven, CT, Patrick (Vanessa) Jones of New Haven, CT, Calvin Jones of New Haven, CT, Turkessa Jones of Rock Hill, SC and Makeda Jones of New Haven, CT; special sons she raised; Tyshon Davis, Mandela Davis and Adrian "Giz" Warner; special daughters, Audrey Long and Nia Davis; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Wilbur) McClain of Jacksonville, FL and Victoria Long Powell of Harrisburg, PA; one brother, Danny (Brenda) Willis of Jacksonville, FL; a loving mother-in-law, Albertha Davis; four brothers-in-law, James (Patricia) Davis, Steve (Rose) Davis, Thomas Davis and Cornie Davis; five sisters-in-law, Lula (Rev. Arthur) Rivers, Susan Lloyd, Elizabeth Burgess, Pearline Davis, Barbara McIver; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
