"She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her." - Proverbs 3:15

Psalm 127:5 states, "Happy is the man that has his quiver full of them." So, on April 12, 1932, the Lord blessed the late Henry and Mary Houser with a precious gift, a beautiful female child, Lottie. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Trident Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County.

She was baptized at an early age at Wesley United Methodist Church in Pinopolis, South Carolina. She was a very faithful and active member until her health declined.

Lottie relocated to Boston, MA at the age of nineteen where she married Arthur Rivers in 1950 and remained in Boston until his untimely death in 1965. After the death of her husband, she and her children moved back to Moncks Corner, she built a home, and remained in that home until her departure.

Upon returning to Moncks Corner, she worked at Barwick Heating and Air as a housekeeper. She also worked for the Berkeley County School District until she retired in 1989.

Lottie supported her children in their educational and extracurricular activities. She supported them in softball, basketball and football. She also loved to watch sports on TV. Her favorite teams were the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Braves. She had many hobbies. Her favorite hobbies were spending quality time with her children while fishing. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, going to the flea markets and catching as many yard sales as she could.

She was preceded in death by: two children, Charles Wallace Rivers and Cornelius Rivers and three sisters, Louise Bryant, Nancy Burch and Camilla Palmer.
