With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Loucious Rusty Hires, Jr. of Summerville, SC, who departed this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Mrs. Roberta Hires; children, Loucious Hires, III (Kim), Shelley Woodbury, Prentice Barcliff, Anthony Barcliff, Antionette Ferebee (Leander), Michelle Barcliff and Bettina Dean (Joseph); siblings, Lillie Jackson, Sadie Fleming, Iza Barton and Daniel Hires; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia McClendon.

His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, 4:00 p.m., at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1308 South Main Street, Summerville, SC. Interment will be in Joiner Cemetery, Eutawville, SC. Viewing will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
