On August 12, 1938, the Lord blessed the late George Milligan and Estelle Major Milligan with a beautiful daughter, Margaret. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 19, 20023 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Margaret was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. She was employed with the Berkeley County School District.
Margaret was a member of Nazareth Reformed Episcopal Church. She lived in Moncks Corner, SC, all of her life. She was always helping someone with their children. She loved to cook and have family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Edward Garnett; one son, Riley Keys and four brothers.
She leaves warm and precious memories that will forever be cherished to her loving family: two sons, John Keys, Jr. (Tanya) and Harry F. Keys; two sisters-in-law, Jimmy Sue Garnett and Margie Garnett; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; very special persons who were close to her, Billy Adams, Debra Ancrum, Sierra Ravenell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral service will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, 12:00 p.m., at the O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, 1010 Cooper Store Road, Moncks Corner, SC. Viewing will be Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, to assist with her funeral expenses.
