Margaret Hutchinson Manigault was born on February 14, 1933 in Moncks Corner, SC. She was the daughter of the late Harry Hutchinson and Rosetta Bartley Hutchinson. She was reared by Lizzie Nelson.  She entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2022 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC, surrounded by her loved ones.

Margaret, affectionately known as "Margie", received her early education at Berkeley Training High School, Moncks Corner, SC. She served as an educator in the New York City school system from where she retired.

Margie was devoted to her family and friends. She loved to travel, garden and decorate. She was famous for solving her word search puzzles.

Margie loved her community, and the community loved her back. She was a woman of faith and always reminded us that "God will work it out."

Margie was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry and James Hutchinson.

Margie leaves to cherish her memories: loving husband, Christopher Wendell Manigault; two sons, Donald Manigault and Carl (Darlene) Manigault of Moncks Corner, SC; Kathryn "Kitty" Sheppard Bryant of North Charleston, SC who she treated as her daughter; grandchildren, Asia Stephenson, Katrina Martinez (Kevin Rivers), Jovan Manigault, Carl Long Manigault Jr., Bianca Brown, Nyja Manigault; ten great-grandchildren; in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Jingo & Sarah Manigault Memorial Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC. There will be no public viewing on Friday.
