Mr. Marion Lawrence, a twin son of the late William and Marguerite Segar Lawrence, was born on August 21, 1947. He departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Roper-Berkeley Medical Center, Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Marion attended the public schools of Berkeley County and graduated from Berkeley Training High School in 1968. After graduation, he moved to Wilmington, North Carolina and later onto Brooklyn, New York. He later returned to Moncks Corner, South Carolina. This union was blessed with four children. Marion retired from Gates Rubber Company in 2007 after thirty years of service. As we all know, the word "fan" is the derivative of fanatic and everyone who knew Marion would know that is exactly what you would call him. To say that he loved sports would be an understatement. He loved all sports. His favorite NFL teamthe Philadelphia Eagles!!! Right or Wrong? Let's not forget Tiger Woods, Venus and Serena Williams. He always kept up with the world's current events. He loved the outdoors as well. During his retirement, he took to playing golf, gardening and keeping his lawn in tip-top shape. Marion was affiliated with The Men Social Club of St. Stephen, South Carolina. Marion leaves to cherish his memories: a loving, devoted and faithful wife of thirty-three years, Priscilla; his children, Patrick (Olivia) Gerald and Eureka (Jeff) Anderson both of St. Stephen, SC, Priscilla "Prissy" Lawrence of Moncks Corner, SC and TSG Roberto M.
