Mary Julia Randolph Frasier, a daughter of the late Reverend Sherman and Mrs. Geraldine Geathers Randolph, was born June 25, 1923 in Charleston County, South Carolina. She transitioned to eternal life with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
Mary received her education in the public schools of Charleston County. She served as a midwife in her community.
Mary was reared in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She joined Greater Mt. Zion AME Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir, the Nancy G. Glover Women's Missionary Society, and the Mt. Zion Singers. She served faithfully until her health began to decline. Mary was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Guiding Light Chapter No. 268.
Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to Liesbon Frasier, Sr. on September 13, 1946. This union was blessed with four children. Her husband, Liesbon Sr., and three children, Coleman Sherman Lee Frasier, Jeraldine Janet Frasier Garrett and Liesbon Frasier, Jr., preceded her in death.
Mary enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was known for her delicious biscuits and sweet potato pies. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her kind and gentle spirit and her unwavering faith in God.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Perry Frasier (Dawn) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Leola Coakley of Charleston, SC; baby brother who was attentive to her, Lonnie Randolph, Sr. (Susan) of McClellanville, SC; daughters-in-law, Eudora S. Frasier of Georgetown, SC, Elouise Frasier of McClellanville, SC; son-in-law, Jackie Garrett, Sr. of McClellanville, SC; sisters-in-law, Ethel Randolph of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Rosa Lee Frasier Fludd of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, Reverend John Henry Gillyard of McClellanville, SC; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, 1:00 p.m., at Greater Mt. Zion AME Church, 789 South Santee Road, McClellanville, SC. Burial will be in Old Board Cemetery. Viewing will be held Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
