Mary Pou Jones, the daughter of the late Mr. OB and Mrs. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Pou, was born May 14, 1965, in Berkeley County, South Carolina. On Thursday, December 10, 2015, she was granted her angel wings and entered into eternal rest. Her final days were spent surrounded by her siblings.

Mary was truly blessed.  She accepted Christ as her Savior. She became a active member of Mitten Lane Holiness Church where she served on the Usher Board, Senior Choir, Kitchen Committee, and Missionary Board as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord.  She was straight forward and very direct, but was also extremely generous. Mary enjoyed helping others. Her children were the center of her life.

Mary was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. She was united in Holy Matrimony to George Jones, Jr.

Preceding her into Glory were: her parents, OB & Lizzie Pou, Sr.; one sister: Janice; and five brothers: Henry Clay, Thomas, OB, Jr., Isaiah, and Jacob.

Those who rejoice at her transition but also deeply miss her presence are: her husband, George Jones, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; her sons: Byron Jamal Pou, and Camren Xavier Pou-Weathers both of Moncks Corner, SC; her siblings: Annie Lee (Envie) Simmons, Hannah (Birdell) Starkes, Lizzie Mae (Maurice) Fennick all of Moncks Corner, SC; Walter Pou (Brenda) of Virginia, Jetsine Pou (Emma), David Pou (Yvonne), Paul Pou (Yvette), Little John Pou (Tonya), all of Moncks Corner, SC and Peter Pou (Arlena) of Atlanta, GA; her aunts and uncles: Eliza Peace, York Smith, Mary Harleston, Julie Mazyck, Walter Smith, Rodella Simmons, and Elijah Muhammad AKA Benjamin Pou; and a host of nieces, nephews; cousins, and other relatives and friends.
