Mary Freeman Mack was born on March 9, 1919, in Bonneau, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Stewart Lander Freeman and Irene Thompson Freeman. She departed this life December 26, 2011, at her residence. Mary was educated in the Berkeley County School System. At an early age, she committed her life to the Lord. She became a faithful member of Greater St. Mark A.M.E. Church as a very young lady. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Society. Mary was married to the late Leo Mack in Bonneau, SC and then moved to New York City, NY until she retired. In the early 1990's, she returned home to Bonneau, SC. Mary was a very jolly, humorous, charismatic, loving and kind person who always greeted you with a smile wherever she went. Her greatest enjoyment was going to church, reading her bible, listening to her gospel music, and being around her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Willie (Bus), Rufus and Tommie Freeman; and a niece, Victoria. She is survived by one brother, Johnnie Freeman of Jacksonville, FL; five nieces, Mary (Tippie), Irene, Sallie, Alma and Pam; two nephews, Eugene and Joseph; one special grandniece, Mary Sabage-Ward; one special grandnephew, Freddie Savage, Jr.; one grandniece and one grandnephew; and a host of great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, cousins and friends
