"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." St. John 14:1-2 Mary Lee Rollerson Swinton, the daughter of the late Lucille Rollerson Wilson and the late Fred (Kent) Anderson, was born on May 13, 1937 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She departed this life on January 14, 2012 at Roper Berkeley Medical Center, Moncks Corner, SC. Mary attended the public schools in Berkeley County, SC. She was employed by Carolina Nursery for over 30 years. Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to John Swinton, Sr. in March of 1956. To this union, ten children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband John; two sons, Jacob and Elijah Rollerson; a sister, Johnnie Mae Beauford; a brother, Ervin Brown; and a grandson, Dominque Swinton. At an early age, she joined Bethel United Methodist Church. After her marriage to John, Mary moved her membership to Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church. She served faithfully as a member of the Senior Choir, Senior Missionary, Sunday School student and Women of the Church. "Mae", as she was called by many, was a loving, caring person. She loved her family. "Mae" called her two loving aunts, "Mother" Estelle R. Wilson and Rebecca Middleton, and her special friends, Margie Prioleau, Lillie Jones and Irene Thompson, everyday to check on them. If anyone needed a place to stay, "Mae" opened her doors to them.
