Me'Lik Shaquan Bibbs, the son of Frederick and Cherry Houston Bibbs, was born on October 26, 1995 in Charleston, South Carolina. Me'Lik was granted his angel wings on Sunday, November 13, 2016, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on November 12, 2016. His final day was spent surrounded by family and friends that Me'Lik had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet memorable life.

He was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. He was gainfully employed by Atlantic Building Company in Macedonia, SC.

Me'Lik's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him. He possessed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and challenges. With his courage, he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.

He could spend hours through simple pleasures chatting with friends, snacking, listening to music and spending time with his younger sister and nephews. Me'Lik touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, while maintaining his trademark sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ora and Willie Bibbs, Jr.

With Me'Lik's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. He will forever remain in our hearts.

Me'Lik is survived by: his loving parents, Frederick Bibbs and Cherry Houston; three brothers, Frederick Jr., Shaquille and Dominique; his twin sister, Ma'Lasia and his youngest sister, Chyna Stone; two nephews, Jahkel and Jakye Bibbs; maternal grandparents, Dan and Bernice Houston; uncles, Jermaine (Letisha), Luther, Joseph and Robert; aunts, Veronica, Camille, Sallie Mae and Cynthia; grandaunts and granduncles; an adopted aunt, Tonya Singleton; a host of cousins and friends.
