On Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Harlem Hospital in New York City, New York, Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom, called our beloved Michael Crawford to eternal rest. He was born on May 12, 1964, in Pineville, South Carolina, and was the youngest son of Benjamin and Florence Thompson Crawford.
During his youth, Michael attended Redeemer Reformed Episcopal Church, Pineville, SC. He was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County and graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1984. After graduation, Michael embarked on a path that led him to Brooklyn, New York, where he spent most of his adult life. He pursued a career managing real estate properties and excelled in the area of plumbing.
Michael was a man of diverse interests. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he found joy in cheering for his favorite team. Additionally, his love for car racing knew no bounds, and he delighted in watching races unfold, always captivated by the excitement of the competition.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his siblings, Florence and Alonza.
He leaves to forever cherish his memories: his siblings, Betty Mazyck, Geraldine Washington, Jerome Thompson, Benjamin Crawford Jr., Ricky Crawford and Peggie Ceasear; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, 12:00 p.m., at Redeemer Reformed Episcopal Church, 2173 Highway 45, Pineville, SC, and the viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church Cemetery, Bonneau, SC.
