With heartfelt sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Mr. Michael V. Legree of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Michael was a dedicated truck driver. Outside of work, he found joy in cooking and took pride in preparing meals that brought loved ones together. Music was another passion of his, and many knew him by his DJ name, “Dr. Ice,” as he shared his love of music, laughter, and fellowship wherever he played.

Known and loved as a gentle giant, Michael will be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laughter, and kind spirit.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife, Sharon W. Legree; his beloved children, Michael Shawn Legree, Alicia Legree, and Elijah Legree; his cherished grandchildren; his siblings, Sherry Morton and Raymond Legree (Carolyn); along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Victoria Legree, and his son, Jamarr Legree.

Service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
